You will know when the casserole is done by sticking a knife in the center of the mixture. If the knife comes out clean, then the center of the casserole is completely cooked. If I would have used a larger casserole dish, I probably would only have to cook this casserole for about 30 to 35 minutes. Just keep the cooking time in mind when you choose the size of your dish.

You need to get creative with the flavor.. The best way to make biscuits so that they rise is to use a mixer with a bread hook. Add 2 cups of carbquick, half tsp baking powder, 1 tablespoon melted butter, and about 1 cup of milk or half heavy cream and half water. If it's too dry when mixing add a little more. It will look and feel like dough you don't want it to feel sticky and it shouldn't stick to your hands much.
