Nutrisystem Turbo Takeoff – Week 1 Recap

I love to eat! I am a huge stress eater, and I know it. I have a hard time saying NO. I need snacks that work for me. With Nutrisystem , I am not as hungry thanks to the delicious shakes.

During the Turbo Takeoff I got to indulge in 2 shakes a day! Mind you that now that the Turbo Takeoff is over I only get to have one shake a day…but I do get to treat myself to special desserts. What I like about Nutrisystem is that everything is labeled and ready to go…and absolutely delicious!

Now I just have to let that inspire me so I can mimic meals for my family. The breakfasts were a little small, but they tasted really good. Lunches were pretty filling. My favorite was the White Bean Chicken Chili. It was spicy and super flavorful. Plus I was adding green beans and carrots for my snacks. Well hello pasta yes, the pasta dishes were my favorite…especially the ones with Alfredo sauce!

Thanks to Nutrisystem I now know I can eat pasta if I control my portion size. Again, adding vegetables helped round out my meals. On the Basic Plan, Nutrisystem will send you a full selection of ready-to-go foods which includes the most popular foods on their menu.

This the Top-Rated Nutrisystem plan, and is by far the best option if you can afford it. Uniquely Yours give you access to more than menu items, and you can select from their frozen foods menu, which features some of their best meals and desserts. This plan costs the same as their premium offerings, so you get full access to their frozen foods as well.

The vegetarian menu has more than 90 foods to choose from. Nutrisystem also has a plan for people with diabetes. When you sign up for Nutrisystem D , you will select from their Basic, Core or Uniquely Yours plans, and the cost is the same as their traditional menu. The full menu is much more extensive than what I listed below, but I just wanted to give you an idea of some of the foods that you can choose from. Well, I am off and running. My weight loss journey is on and popping.

Anywho, I pre-planned my entire week down to the number of calories. LOL I like to plan things out so I am not just grabbing things or standing in the refrigerator door waiting for something to jump out at me. I am about to lose my mind, but we will chat about that next week. I was talking to a friend and he asked me what was I eating. I am sure for a second he thought I lost my mind. The number of meals I have to eat per day is a tad problematic for me. I am the queen of one meal per day, so telling me I have to eat five times per day will get you a major side-eye.

Heck, it almost made me faint. Eating this much is stressful! LOL I noticed after a few days of eating more often that I started getting hungry more during the day. Before I started Nutrisystem, I rarely got hungry because my metabolism was slow. This chick is tripping! At the end of the week, I was down 4. I will say the most calories I had in a day during the Fast 5 phase was calories.

I exercised during the Fast 5 period and I did not feel sick or light-headed. If you are used to eating more calories, please speak to your doctor before starting the Fast 5 program. Overall, this part of the process was easy breezy. I liked most of the items with the muffins being my favorites, and I did have to spice up the dinner selections to my liking.
