The real difference between the Nutrisystem Core vs Uniquely Yours plan is in the wider selection of more gourmet foods that you find on Uniquely Yours. Men need more calories than women, even when they are dieting. Women on nutrisystem take in about calories per day while men on the diet take in about calories per day. How do the men get more calories in their diet? They are given an additional snack entree each day. And they are allowed a few additional grocery add ins with their meals.
That is how they get the additional calories. So yes, the men are getting slightly more food which is why they are charged more. An extra snack entree per day means they are getting around 30 additional meals. They could, but they would missing a snack per day. And, if they bought that same snack a la carte they would pay much more than they would if they got them via a package directly from the company.
Of course, you can always try to add in your own snack from the grocery store, but I suspect that you would have a hard time finding a snack in the grocery store with low enough amounts of carbs and calories and with the right carb to protein ratio.
